ONLINE CLASSES FAQs
How do I register for a class?
Currently there is only one Level 1-2 class being offered on Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30 am Pacific Time.
You can purchase drop-in tuition here.
Once you register for a class, you should receive an automatic email with your purchase receipt and instructions on how to pick the date of the class you wish to attend. Once you registered for class zoom will send you a link in the email that is specific to the class you chose.
At the class time, click the link to join the class!
Even if you purchase a 4 class package please register for each class individually that you plan to attend to receive the unique registration email and class link!
All class purchases are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. I regret that I cannot issue credits for no-shows.
What do I need for class?
Do not worry if you don’t have a lot of props at home! Classes will be adjusted for minimal props. It is recommended to set up the environment in your home with an open space and, if possible, a mat before the class start time. Wall space would be good. If you do not have a free wall, you can use a locked door. If you have a chair, yoga belt, or block; please have these available. For the higher level classes, blankets for shoulder balance.
If you want to get props, here are some links I found on amazon that could be useful:
Cork Bricks (wood or cork is preferred. Foam are not very stable for some poses; I found this bundle with a belt on amazon)
5 Pack Blankets (suggested for those doing Shoulder Stands)

What software do you use?
Classes will be taught through Zoom. Zoom is a free video conferencing software.
Day of the class
Please plan to login at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled class time. This will allow you time to get your computer set up and trouble shoot any IT issues that may come up. It will also allow me time to greet you and let you in the class. I cannot promise to be able to let you in once class has started. For security reasons I need to manually let students in the class.
I did not receive a registration confirmation email?
A registration email is sent at the time of booking a class through the zoom, you should also expect a reminder email on the day of your chosen class.
class begins. If you do not see the email, please check the spam folder. If you continue to have trouble, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a Help Call.
Do I need a Zoom login to join the class?
You do not need a zoom login to join the class. You will click the emailed class link to join!
What internet browser should I use to join a zoom class?
Chrome and Safari are working the best! Firefox is not working as reliably for a zoom class.
What is the tuition cost for online classes?
To make it easier for new students and current students who are not willing to commit to a longer package, I am offering drop in classes for the same amount as my usual 4 class packages. All classes are $ 15 for 90 minutes.
Please use the links below to purchase class tuition.
Will the online class schedule change?
Classes are set until May. I may add more classes if there is demand to it. Please send me an email if you have a preferred level and time.
What is your time zone? I would like to take classes from abroad!
I am in California, Pacific Standard Time, USA.Time Zone Converter: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Will you continue online classes after the current covid-19 crisis?
Online classes do offer a wonderful opportunity for Iyengar Yoga students to connect and take classes worldwide. Yes, it is possible online class offerings will continue after the covid-19 crisis. Things are moving quickly, and at this time the priority is to make sure current students and teachers have a space for community support and continued practice.
